Best Special Olympics Memory:It definitely was winning Gold overall at the World Games in Abu Dhabi in March 2019. I was so proud to represent Canada and bring back 7 gold medals! The Senate gave recognition and made us so proud to be Canadian. I learned a lot about myself and others and know that hard work is worth it.
Hobbies and Activities:I love to dance and listen to music. Photography is a passion I am developing and all social activity that includes people is fun for me. I enjoy cooking as I worked the summer before going to World games as a kitchen steward in a cafeteria. I loved helping to cook, make salads and serve paninis. I also love working with kids. I had two work placements volunteering in a kindergarden class and I like helping coach and leading warm-up sessions. I enjoy going to the gym and working with a personal trainer to improve my endurance and core strength. I recently discovered I like to paint too. I am on a waiting list to get into college and look forward to that!
Message to Sponsors:Thank you so much for providing me and so many others to participate in Special Olympics! All the opportunities Special Olympics provide would not be possible without you! I send you a big heart of gratitude!
