WELCOME TO THE VIRTUAL GAMES
The Special Olympics Ontario Virtual Games is more than an event, it is a unique opportunity for athletes from across Canada with intellectual disabilities to showcase their hard work and dedication through sport.
Welcome to the Virtual Games brought to you by the Waterloo Regional Police Service, 2020!
Join us throughout the month of July to celebrate, compete, and connect virtually!
Even though we can’t be together to celebrate in-person this July, the Waterloo Regional Police and the Region of Waterloo can’t wait to virtually host everyone for our Special Olympics Ontario Virtual Games!
COMPETE FROM HOME
This event is a safe way for Special Olympics athletes to keep the spirit of Special Olympics alive by competing against each other from home!
Any Special Olympics athlete with an intellectual disability is welcome to compete and participate on behalf of their community!
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:
CHOOSE YOUR CHALLENGES! There are challenges in each of the five (5) offered sports (plus a bonus event for this year only!)
TRAIN! You can train and submit your scores for as many challenges as you like, but can only submit once per challenge! You have until July 19th at 9pm to practice and submit your results.
SUBMIT YOUR SCORES! Submit your results on the website to virtually compete against everyone!
CELEBRATE! Join us July 21, 22 & 23 online for 3 great days of celebration, activities and of course the athlete victory dance!
